Stoke Council workers to get pay rises

Read that some of the Stoke on Trent City Council workers will be getting pay rises and bonuses this year. Not the definition of a ‘pay freeze’ that I have ever come across before. How can they explain that?

Council Tax up in Stoke, again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the majority of other councils freezing council tax for the coming year, how can Stoke Council justify such a large rise in their rates, especially with so many cutrs in services. Come on SCC, justify yourselves. You can’t can you?

The lesser spotted job in Stoke

With an average of 73 people applying for every single job in Stoke What chance has anyone got of landing something? (yes, I know 72-1) I have constantly been rejected but I will not give up although it is so tough out there. What are your thoughts?
